Provides a list of applied ethics resources on the world wide web.

Canadian Association of Research Ethics Boards (CAREB) [4]

A grass-roots national membership organisation, aiming to represent the interests of all Candian Research Ethics Boards (REBs) and to reflect the REB perspective and concerns.

Interagency Advisory Panel on Research Ethics (PRE) [5] 

This panel is a body of external experts established by three Canadian Research Agencies - theCanadian Institutes of Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

National Council on Ethics in Human Research [6]

A non-government organisation that aims to protect and promote the well-being of human participants in research and influence the ethical standards of conduct of research involving humans.

The Provincial Health Ethics Network [7]

A non-profit Canadian organisation which provides resources on addressing ethical issues related to health. 

Sante et Services Sociaux Quebec - Tutorial in Research Ethics [8]

This online tutorial was developed specifically for research ethics board members and support staff who work in the institutions of the Quebec health and social services network, but can also be useful for those beyong Quebec.

Europe

Science and Society in Europe - Ethics [9] (European Commission - Research) [10] (Europe)

This European site focuses on ethical issues invovling cultural difference, and promotes research that respects fundamental ethical principles.

Decleration of Helsinki - The World Medical Association [11] (France)

A statement of ethical principles to provide guideance to physicians and other participants in in medical research involving humans.

The Nuremberg Code [12] (Germany)

A code of conduct following the trials of war criminals before the Nuremberg Military Tribunals under Control Council Law.

New Zealand

New Zealand Health and Disability Ethics Committee [13] 

This site provides informnation about how to apply for ethical review, and information on each regional ethics committee in New Zealand.
